Sri Sri Radha Banabihari

On the south-east corner of Kusum Sarovara is this old temple of Sri Sri Radha Banabihari, commemorating the pastime of Sri Krsna (Banabihari) combing, Radha Banabihari braiding, and decorating Sri Radhe’s hair. The Sri Banabihari Deity has a comb in His hand and He is braiding Radharani’s hair, and Sri Radharani Deity is looking at Sri Banabihari’s face in a mirror.

One day, in Goloka Vrndavana, in the arena of the beautiful rasa dance, Radharani spoke the following words to Krishna. “O Lord of the worlds, if You are pleased with My love in the rasa dance then there is a desire in My heart I would like to place before You.”

In the Srimad Bhagavatam Sri Krsna, declares, “I am Govardhana Hill.” Because Govardhana Hill is non-different from the Supreme Lord, He is as worshipable as Krsna. The Adi-varaha Purana states that one who circumambulates Govardhana Hill does not return to this world.
